
RULES
IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON REGULATION 2023
The test is organized by the Ibiza Half Triathlon Sports Association and will be held on October 23, 2022 with departure at 08:00 a.m. from Figueretas Beach in Ibiza, over distances of 2 km swimming, 90 km. of cycling and 21 km of running on foot.
The test will be governed by the official rules and regulations of the Spanish Triathlon Federation competitions.
REGISTRATION – PARTICIPATION
- The event is an “OPEN” test that will be open to all people who declare that they are in good physical, mental and medical condition to participate in the IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON.
- The event will be the official test of the 2022 MD and LD Triathlon Cup of Spain for triathletes licensed by the FETRI.
- Registration will be open for Elite, Age Groups and Open-Non-Federated

- A Finisher medal will be given to all triathletes who finish within the time established by the organization and they will be able to personalize it for free at the finish line with their name and time achieved.
REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON 2023
1.- All athletes are registered in the event once they have paid the registration fee in full and the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON verify that you meet all the necessary requirements to take part in the competition.
2.- It will be understood that an athlete takes part or participates in the event once, after picking up the number that has been assigned to him, he appears in the competition area and starts.
3.- The payment of the registration fee implies and entitles the participant to take part in the event.
4.- It is the exclusive responsibility of the organizer to arrange the services made available to the participants, as well as to determine all matters related to the sports competition.
5.- The amount of the registration fee will be determined by the organizer, who will duly publish the corresponding fees. The athlete has the right to be given proof of registration payment at the time of formalizing it.
6.- Once the registration fee has been paid, it will be returned to the participant only if the test is not held by decision of the organizer, unless there is a case or assumption of those provided in the following section.
7.- The registration fee will not be returned, neither all nor part, in the event that:
(A) the test was suspended by decision of the organizer or the rest of the federal or administrative entities due to the existence of fortuitous occurrences or force majeure not attributable to the organization (among such assumptions would be included -among others- those corresponding to the weather, concurrence of disasters related to nature, pandemics, etc…)
(B) the test is modified in terms of its format, design, characteristics, distances or circuits.
(C) The test was suspended and postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic on the island of Ibiza, passing the registration of all those registered to be part of the registry of the new date of celebration.
8.- In cases in which the athlete, once registered, requests withdrawal and/or renounces taking part in the event (regardless of the causes or reasons adduced by him/her), the the return conditions -deadlines, amounts/percentages, etc.- of the registration fee which, where appropriate, appear in the “registration” section of the test website published by the organizer. Beyond the deadline for returns, no amount paid by her at the time of registration will be returned to the athlete.
9.- The payment of the amounts corresponding to “refunds” will be made through the mechanism and term determined by the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to pass on to the athlete the bank expenses generated in the payment operations of the amounts for refunds of registration fees.
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
10.- In accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, your personal data, or where appropriate those of your representative, will be processed by the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON with N.I.F. G57876799, in order to manage the registration in the event and any action derived from it, and where appropriate, send you information regarding the activity of the entity. GENERAL RULES AND APPLICABLE PROVISIONS
11.- The athlete knows the existence and content, understands, and abide by all the rules, regulations, and regulatory provisions that are applicable in the competition. It is the responsibility of the participant to find out about the rules, regulations, provisions, instructions, and any other regulation that is applicable in the competition.
12.- The athlete agrees to comply with all the agreements adopted by the organization and its staff, by the technical delegates, by the judges – referees, by the officials, by any sports body or authorities, as well as the resolutions issued by those in matters of their competence.
13.- The athlete undertakes to scrupulously ensure respect for the values of sport at all times, maintaining appropriate behavior and preserving the good image of the organization and its competition.
14.- The athlete sworn and responsible states that she is not sanctioned or involved in any sanctioning procedure in matters related to sport. Once registered, as soon as a sanction is imposed through a resolution that is firm or simply executive established by a sports federation or any other administrative entities, such circumstance will be brought to the attention of the FETRI, who, in such cases , may for reasons prevent the participation of the athlete in the competition.
DISCLAIMER
15.- The athlete exempts the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON and the rest of the organizing entities and collaborators in the start-up and development of the sports competition from all responsibility for any physical, material, or other injuries or damages, not attributable to poor organization or operation.
16.- The A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON will have control and surveillance measures aimed at preventing possible theft of sports or personal material from the participants that could occur during the competition. In any case, all participants exonerate the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON and the rest of the organizing entities and collaborators in the start-up and development of the competition of any responsibility for damage, deterioration, theft, etc. of the sports or personal material of their property that the athlete could introduce and deposit before, during and after the test in the transition area or any of the areas enabled for storage, storage, parking, etc.
17.- The A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON is independent and does not assume any responsibility towards the athletes who register in the sports competition in relation to any contracting (travel, accommodation, etc.) that may be carried out by them in relation to the event attendance. The athlete expressly waives the possibility of claiming the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON and the rest of the organizing entities and collaborators in the start-up and development of the competition, any expenses that may be incurred in relation to any hiring (travel, accommodation, etc.) made by them in the event that the competition did not get to celebrate.
IMAGE RIGHTS
18.- The athlete authorizes the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON for the total or partial recording, and consequent advertising exploitation in the broadest terms as possible in Law, of their presence or participation in the competition through photographs, films, television, radio, video and any other known means. or to know, as well as the right to give them commercial, advertising, etc., use that it deems appropriate, without the right to any financial compensation.
19.- The athlete is to know that the audiovisual rights of the competition in which she is registered correspond to the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON or the entity that is the assignee thereof. The ownership of such audiovisual rights includes the possibility of exploiting them, with the consequent economic benefit. The athlete may not require the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON nor to eventual holders or operators of audiovisual rights any amount for their appearance in the works or productions that are made.
20.- The athlete may not make use of content or works that involve the use of audiovisual rights of the competition in which they take part, even when it comes to images or sounds that have been captured by him or by any third party. Images and sounds captured for domestic use are expressly excluded. He will not consider the images and sounds of the competition as domestic use, those captured for the purpose of their insertion or dissemination through websites, blogs, social networks, etc.
HEALTH PROTECTION
21.- The athlete declares that he/she does not suffer from any contraindication to compete or practice triathlon, stating responsibly before the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON that has undergone medical controls or examinations before the event in order to rule out that she suffers from an injury, illness or health problem that prevents or even discourages her participation in the competition.
MINORS
22.- In the event that the registered athlete is a minor, this form must be completed with the express authorization of the person or persons holding parental authority. In the event that it is shared between several people, whoever fills in this form must have obtained the express authorization and/or consent of the rest of the people who share with him/her the parental authority over the minor registered in the competition. .
GENERAL CLAUSES
23.- The stipulations and clauses contained in this online registration form have the condition of rights and obligations for the parties. In this sense, they are considered parties to the relationship for these purposes: the athlete who enrolls in the competition as the D.A. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON, and the organizer and/or the entities that said entity uses for the start-up and development of the event
24.- These stipulations are considered contracting conditions for the purposes of the provisions of current legislation.
25.- The athlete who completes this form, waiving any other that may apply, states that any litigation, controversy or claim related to the registration or participation in the competition will be submitted to the courts and tribunals of the place where the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON has its headquarters.
RETURN POLICY
Requests for the return of registrations will be accepted and made according to the following criteria…
75% until June 30, 50% until August 31, from September 1 onwards there are no refunds. See also regarding returns, point 7 and its sections A) and B) of these registration conditions.
COVID-19 CLAUSES
The COVID-19 health crisis makes it necessary to adopt a series of measures aimed at complying with the protocols set by the health authorities. The establishment and fulfillment of the aforementioned measures requires a series of commitments and forms of action on the part, fundamentally, of organizers and participants. The reading and acceptance of this document is an essential condition to take part in the competitions of the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON. The participant declares and declares:
1.- That they are aware of the protocol and guide published by the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON in relation to the presence and participation in sports events generated on the occasion of the COVID-19 health crisis.
2.- That it undertakes to comply with all the requirements or simple recommendations that are contained in such protocol or guide, as well as the instructions that are given by the sports authorities or organization personnel present in the competition in relation to the measures to avoid contagion. by COVID-19.
3.- That he undertakes not to attend or take part in the event or competition in the event that he suffers from symptoms that could be compatible with the spread of COVID19. This will also be extended to cases in which the symptoms were suffered by third parties with whom the participant has or has had contact that could objectively lead to contagion.
4.- That, in case of being or having been infected by the COVID-19 virus, they agree not to attend or take part in the event or competition as long as the health authorities do not state that participation does not entail a risk, good for himself, good for the rest of the attendees with whom he could have contact.
5.- That, with the means at their disposal, and in any case when there have been circumstances that advise it, they have undergone the existing tests to check if they are or have been infected by COVID-19.
6.- That he/she is aware of and accepts and assumes that, in the current state, there is an objective risk of contagion of COVID-19 with the consequences that this could derive for him/her in terms of health or problems that, even, could cause death.
7.- That you accept that the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON adopt the measures indicated in the protocol and guide that it has published in order to establish a reasonable security scenario in the competition. In this sense, it is stated that the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON, in the course of the competition, may adopt the measures or decisions that are necessary in relation to the establishment or application of the measures contained in its protocol and published guide or any others that have the purpose of providing the proof of a safe environment in terms of avoiding COVID-19 infections.
8.- That, in case of being infected by COVID-19, the participant exonerates the D.A. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON from any responsibility in relation to the possible damages that could be derived for their person.
9.- That he or the participant accepts that when measures or decisions are adopted by the A.D. IBIZA HALF TRIATHLON with the aim of preserving the health of people in the course of the competition, the essential obligations of the organizer cannot be considered unfulfilled, for which reason the payment of amounts, compensation, or refund of prices or amounts for registration or participation rights or costs incurred by the athlete and/or their club.
10.- That he or the participant accepts that if there is a behavior or behavior of non-compliance or non-compliance with the orders and instructions of the organization staff in relation to the security measures to avoid contagion by COVID-19, they may be excluded. / or disqualified from the event by decision of the person acting as sports authority (judge-referee or technical delegate).
11.- That he or the participant accepts that the measures of a sporting nature set out in the previous section are understood without prejudice to other responsibilities that he or she could assume before the competent authorities (including the federative disciplinary bodies) as a consequence of a conduct or behavior of non-observance or non-compliance with the orders and instructions that are applicable, either in the sports-federation field, or in other different fields.

All activities related to the Ibiza Half Triathlon “Spanish Cup of MD and LD 2022”, (Secretariat, talks, meetings, Expo, Etc).
